The ingredients needed to make Palitaw:

  1. Get 2 cups of Glutinous rice flour.
  2. Take 100-150 g of grated coconut.
  3. Take 1 cup of water.
  4. Prepare 1 of pot of boiling water.
  5. Provide 2 tablespoons of Toasted peanut (preferably no skin) or toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Provide 2-3 tablespoons of sugar (depends on preference of sweetness).

Instructions to make Palitaw:

  1. Mix the glutinous rice flour and water in a bowl into a dough.
  2. Roll into small balls and flatten using your thumb.
  3. Put them in a pot with boiling water. Once it floats, remove it from the water and then cover it with the grated coconut. Reserve some grated coconut for the topping..
  4. For it's topping, grind the toasted peanut in mortar and pestle. If you have peanuts with skin it is easy to peel the skin after toasting. No need to grind if you are using sesame seeds.
